MPS works with the Ministry of Planning and Investment on 2018 development capital plan

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) had a working session with the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) on the MPS development capital plan for 2018 and its medium-term investment plan in period 2016-2020, on January 13, in Hanoi. 

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment co-chaired the working session.

At the meeting, a representative of the Planning and Investment Department under MPS briefed participants on the MPS implementation of the medium-term investment plan in period 2016-2020.

Speaking at the working session, Minister To Lam stressed that, under the leadership and guidance of the Central Party Committee, the Government, the National Assembly and with the close collaboration of ministries, branches, especially the support of the MPI, the MPS was able to invest in key infrastructures, facilities and specialized equipment, contributing to fulfilling its tasks of ensuring security, social order and protecting the country.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam sincerely thanked the MPI for their supports for investment activities of the MPS, contributing to enhancing the capabilities of the Public Security Forces, over the past time.

The current situation poses many challenges for the forces. Therefore, Minister To Lam hoped to receive more support and closer coordination from the MPI so that the MPS could invest synchronously in the Public Security Forces, especially the direct combat forces, key localities, islands and remote areas, in the coming time.

For his part, Minister of Plan and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung expressed empathy with the difficulties faced by the MPS and the tasks of the Public Security Forces in the current situation while highly appreciating the achievements of the forces in 2017.

Mr. Dung also affirmed that following the viewpoint of the Party and the Government on the protection of national security, the MPI would always support and closely coordinate with the MPS, and ensure adequate investment capital for the forces to complete their missions.
