NA Party Committee, PSCPC tighten coordination relations

PSNews - Recently, Secretary of the National Assembly’s (NA) Party Committee and NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue chaired a meeting with a delegation from the Standing Committee of the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC).

The event saw the presence of General To Lam, Secretary of the PSCPC and Minister of Public Security among other members of the PSCPC and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the NA.

At the meeting the two sides review the implementation of NA Resolutions and coordination deals between the MPS and the NA Commissions. The delegates also discussed issues related to legal consultation and law-making of the MPS.

During the meeting, the PSCPC suggested the NA Party Committee and the NA Standing Committee strengthen their leadership in making and strengthening laws on security and order, thereby creating a firm legal basis for the Public Security Forces to protect national security, prevent and combat crimes, maintain public order and safety in the new context.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam emphasized that the PSCPC and MPS always attach much importance to the tasks of building laws and improving institutions for the Public Security Forces and thanked the NA committees and agencies for their great support and close coordination with the MPS in executing the tasks.

To conclude the meeting, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the contributions of the MPS to the effective and efficient operation of the NA.

The PSCPC and the NA Party Committee agreed on a coordination regulation set with some new contents suitable to the current situation. The two sides also pledged to actively exchange information with each other so as to improve the NA’s law-making process, supreme supervision, and decisions on important issues and foreign affairs of the country as well as support the MPS in executing the assigned missions.
