Nam Dinh Provincial Police praised for great achievements

PSNews- The Nam Dinh Provincial Police Department on January 22 held a conference to review the unit’s implementation of the 2017 emulation movement and to launch the "For National security" movement in 2018.

The event saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security; and Deputy Chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial People Committee Ngo Gia Tu.

In 2017, under the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, the Nam Dinh Provincial Police has fulfilled its task of advising authorities at all level to mobilize the overall strength of the whole political system to direct local forces to maintain local security and order comprehensively and effectively.

Over the past year, all local police officers and soldiers have united and tried their best to overcome all difficulties and challenges to exceed the targets set by the Ministry of Public Security.

As a result, the Nam Dinh Provincial Police has greatly contributed to the province’s socio-economic development, which has been recognized and praised by the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, local authorities and the people.

In 2017, 255 groups and 3,200 individuals of the provincial police force has been honored with noble awards, titles and medals by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Public Security.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam recognized and praised positive achievements of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police in 2017, emphasizing that these have significantly contributed to the province’s social-economic development as well as to the general good outcomes of the entire People's Public Security Forces, worthy of the heroic tradition of the Nam Dinh police force.

Highlighting the domestic and international situations and predicting a situation of 2018, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam urged the Nam Dinh Provincial Police to continue to innovate working methods and styles to achieve better results.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam agreed on the proposed work plan of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police for the year to come. He urged the unit to improve the efficiency of preventive measures to curb crimes and social evils.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam required the Nam Dinh Provincial Police to closely embrace and effectively implement all directives and circulars of the Ministry of Public Security on the basic professional work, and directions for the entire People's Public Security Forces in 2018.

The Nam Dinh Provincial Police was also urged to focus on Party building and force building in 2018.

On the occasion, authorized by the President, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam awarded Major General Dang Van Sinh, Director of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police with a “Military Exploit” Order of 3rd class for his brave exploits.

Meanwhile, 20 individuals of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police were honored with “Fatherland Protection” Orders of various classes.
