Nationwide sports, firefighting and rescue competition closes in Da Nang

The Police Department of Fire and Rescue, in coordination with the Da Nang Municipal Police Department, hosted the finalround of the 2020 Sports, Firefighting and Rescue Competition on July 20 in Da Nang city.

The final round of the contest saw the participation of 23 excellent teams from the police departments of cities and provinces across the country, namely Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Kan, Bac Lieu, Ben Tre, BinhDinh, Da Nang, Dak Nong, Ha Nam, Ha Giang, Hanoi, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, KienGiang, Lam Dong, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang and the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting.

In the final round, the teams competed in three events:100-metre obstacle course race,4×100-metre relay combined with rescue tasks, and team employing firewater pumps to fight fire.

After one day of competition, the Ho Chi Minh City’s firefighting delegation won the first prize while the second prize went to the Lam Dong firefighting delegation and the Bac Lieu firefighting delegation ranked third.
