New academic year of People’s Security University

HCMC – the ceremony of new academic year 2016-2017 and Traditional Day of People’s Security University (PSU) was held on October 11th with the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dzung, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

The event was also attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Vice Director of General Department of Public Security Politics, Lieutenant General Ksor Nham, Vice Director of General Department of Logistics and Techniques and other representatives from relevant departments and agencies under the MPS.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, the university welcomes 370 new students.

Colonel Dang Van Doai, Principal of the PSU delivered the opening speech, remarked achievements of the university in their 53 years of development.

In the last academic year, the PSU had gained various achievements, including different titles like “Emulation Flags” of the MPS and General Department of Public Security Politics, “Victorious Units” or “Grassroots Emulation Soldier”, etc.

In the new academic year of 2016-2017, all teachers, members of staff and students are committed to try their best to better follow and implement directions and tasks by the CPV and State, strive develop the University to become a center of training, scientific research of the MPS.

Deputy Minister Pham Dzung spoke highly of achievements gained by the University in the past time, contributing to development of the University and the MPS.

He noted that in response to complicated developments of international and regional security challenges, the University should give priority to training and education activities, contributing to development of the PSU and ensured security and social order situations.
