New classrooms handed over to children in Son La

PSNews - Recently, the Son La Provincial Police Department in coordination with the Van Ho District People’s Committee and benefactors organized a ceremony to hand over the 33rd newly-built classrooms to children in the Ban Lay 2 school branch of the Tan Xuan Kindergarten.

The Ban Lay school branch has 30 multi-grade students from 3-5 years old, all of whom are of the Mong ethnic minority. The handover of the new classrooms will significantly help attract more students to school in the border commune of Tan Xuan.

The construction of the school began in March 2024. The new school branch has an area of 120m2 with two classrooms, one kitchen and a bathroom section. It has solid walls, heat-resistant corrugated iron roofs, marble floors and a system of lighting and ceiling fans, costing more than 600 million VND in total. All the cost was funded by leaders and employees of the Dolphin Maritime and Aviation Services LTD.

At the ceremony, the Dolphin Maritime and Aviation Services LTD. also presented several sets of tables and chairs, worth 8 million VND, to the school as well as a lot of gifts to teachers and students at the school.

After nearly three years of implementing the social project “Happiness for children”, 40 school branches, 03 bridges, 07 “Happy” houses, 05 boarding houses, 02 bathroom subprojects have been built in Son La province, costing nearly 12 billion VND in total. 

Besides, the “Moc Chau children feeding” social project is currently providing lunches for 8.178 children in 163 school branches in the province, worth 36 billion VND.
