New Director of Counter-Narcotics Police Department appointed

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on June 1 organized a ceremony to announce the Minister’s decisions to change the leadership of the Counter-Narcotics Police Department.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security, handed a retirement decision to Lieutenant General Pham Van Cac, Director of the Counter-Narcotics  Police Department.

He then announced another to appoint Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Vien, Vice Director of Hanoi Municipal Police Department, to the position of Director of the Counter-Narcotics Police Department.

Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong spoke highly of the efforts, contributions and achievements of Lieutenant General Pham Van Cac, and congratulated Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Vien on his appointment.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Vien has taken various positions during his service in the Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong wanted that the newly appointed Director should do his best to fulfil all given tasks, stand united with the Security Party organization and leadership of the Counter-Narcotics Police Department to successfully control drug-related crimes.
