New Director of Soc Trang Provincial Police Department takes office

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony in Soc Trang on November 20 to announce decisions of the Minister of Public Security to appoint cadres to leading positions of the Provincial Police Department of Soc Trang.

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended the event.

According to the decisions announced at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Director of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department, has been appointed as Vice Director of the Department of Security Investigation under the MPS while Senior Colonel Lam Thanh Sol, Vice Director of the An Giang Provincial Police Department, has been appointed as Director of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang appreciated the achievements and contributions of Senior Colonel Nguyen Minh Ngoc when he led the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department.

He also congratulated Senior Colonel Lam Thanh Sol on his new position, and appreciated his efforts and achievements in the building of the Public Security Forces.

The deputy Minister hoped that Senior Colonel Lam Thanh Sol on his new position would do his best to fulfil all given tasks, making contributions to ensuring political security, social order and safety in the Southern province of Soc Trang, as well as to preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic and boosting socio-economic development of the province.

For his part, the newly-appointed provincial police chief of Soc Trang thanked the leadership of the MPS for their appreciation and vowed to try his best, together with the leadership, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police Department, to ensure security and order, making contributions to socio-economic development of the province.
