New Director of Thai Binh Provincial Police Department appointed

Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on September 29 chaired a ceremony in Thai Binh to announce a personnel decision by the Minister of Public Security on the appointment of the Director of the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department.

The event saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People’s Committee; and other local leaders and representatives of police units.

At the event, under the authority of the Minister of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc announced and handed over the appointment decision to Colonel Tran Van Phuc, 43. Under the decision, Colonel Phuc is promoted to Director of the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department from his previous position of Vice Director of the Police Department for Corruption, Smuggling and Economic Crimes.

Colonel Phuc’s predecessor, Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Truong had earlier been appointed to Director of the Hung Yen Provincial Police Department.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Mr. Ngo Dong Hai congratulated Colonel Tran Van Phuc on his appointment, highlighting that the MPS recognized and appreciated his effort and good service over the past time.

They hoped that the newly appointed provincial police chief would heighten his sense of responsibility, promote the provincial police force’s solidarity, maintain police discipline, and lead the local police force to overcome all challenges and successfully fulfill all assigned tasks. 

The two officials also spoke highly of the achievements and contributions of Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Truong during the time he served as Director of the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department.

For his part, Colonel Tran Van Phuc expressed his gratitude to the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee and authorities, the Ministry of Public Security, the leadership and officers of the provincial police for their thoughtfulness and support for him.

He vowed to try his best to complete all given tasks.
