Nghe An provincial police hold Party Congress

PSNews - Major General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and gave a speech at the 14th Party Congress (term 2020 – 2025) of the Nghe An provincial police Party organization on August 26.

Under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of Central Public Security, Nghe An provincial police Party organization has directed the provincial police forces to ensure security and order whilelaunching a lot of crime raids, cracking down on criminal gangs and successfully investigating major cases related to illicit drug trafficking and trade, environmental offences, and economic wrongdoings, over the past five years.

In the four consecutive years (2016 – 2019), the Nghe An Provincial Police Department ranked first in administrative reforms among all public security agencies and units. The local police unit developed the “All People ProtectNational Security” movement in both depth and width as well as promoted the local good models and creative ways in the movement across the country.

It also attached importance to building capacity of its Party sub-organizations and Party members, encouraged Party members to heighten their sense of responsibility in performing their political tasks assigned by the Party, State and People.

In the last term, the Nghe An provincial police force was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister, while the provincial police Party organization was recognized by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee as a “Strong and clean Party organization”.

Addressing the congress, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the achievements of the Nghe An provincial police Party organization. He also agreed with the goals, targets, tasks and solutions discussed at the Congress for the next term.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked the Party organization to continue streamlining the organization of the provincial police force in a more effective and efficient manner while focusing on strengthening the grassroots level police force. He also requested the provincial Party organization to enhance the inspection of all Party cells and Party members.
