Noble Orders from Lao State presented to senior officers of MPS

After the talks held earlier on February 20, Minister To Lam and his Lao counterpart, Minister Vilay Lakhamphong co-chaired a ceremony handing over Orders from the Lao State and Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Security of Laos to the units and individuals of the MPS of Vietnam.

The event was also attended by Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister and Lieutenant-General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister as well as Lieutenant General Kongthong Phongvichit, Deputy Minister of Security of Lao PDR and representative from Laos Embassy in Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son sincerely thanked the leaders of the Lao Party and Government, as well as the President, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Public Security of Laos for acknowledging and appreciating the contributions of the awarded Vietnamese public security units and individuals to the cooperation and friendship between two countries, two peoples, and two ministries.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son affirmed that the units and individuals who were presented with noble awards will make their best efforts to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to implementing effectively the cooperation programs between the two ministries and the two governments as well as join their hands with Lao friends, especially the Lao Ministry of Security, to further cement the Vietnam - Lao special solidarity for future generations.
