Over 1,200 people join mass yoga performance in Nha Trang

PSNews - In response to the 9th International Yoga Day - 2023, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a mass yoga performance with the participation of over 1,200 people, on June 17 at 2/4 square, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa.

Accordingly, about 1,200 people from the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Ho Chi Minh City and foreigners participated in the yoga performance.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu sent his thank to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam for choosing Khanh Hoa to hold this performance. 

He highly appreciated roles and benefits of practicing yoga with the aim of improving physical and mental health in life, creating opportunities to harmonize and connect people.

Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City expressed his thanks for the active companionship of Khanh Hoa province when organizing events. He hoped that Khanh Hoa province would continue to accompany Indian organizations in yoga as well as in the fields of culture, tourism and commerce.

The yoga performance program was conducted under the direct management of expert Tran Thi Thanh Trang, director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Yoga Training Center. Participants performed simple movements to regulate blood and blood and some basic postures of Yoga.

It is known that starting from 2014, the General Assembly of United Nations has chosen June 21 every year as the International Day of Yoga. This is the forth time Khanh Hoa province has been chosen by the Indian Embassy in Vietnam as the representative of one of the provinces and cities in the country to celebrate the organization of the Yoga performance in response to the International Yoga Day.
