People’s Police Academy, Hanoi University of Science and Technology sign cooperation MoU

The People’s Police Academy (PPA) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a comprehensive strategic partnership, on June 20, 2025.

PPA Director, People's Teacher, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Huong, Prof., Dr., and HUST President Assoc. Prof., Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang co-chaired the ceremony.

Two institutions’ leaders sign MoU.

In recent years, the two institutions have effectively implemented joint activities in digital transformation and application of science and technology in education and research, as well as co-held artificial intelligence (AI) training workshops for PPA officers and lecturers.

Based on their respective functions, duties and authorities, the PPA and HUST committed to strengthening cooperation and providing mutual support in accordance with the laws of the State, and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training.

The areas of cooperation include training, scientific research, technology application and transfer, digital transformation as well as various joint activities of Youth Union organizations of the two universities.

The two sides will also conduct annual reviews to evaluate the implementation of the MoU and jointly develop plans for future cooperation.

The joint action plan will be regularly carried out under the direct leadership of the Director of the PPA and the President of HUST, and may be adjusted to suit specific tasks and requirements of each university.

Speaking at the ceremony, HUST President Huynh Quyet Thang expressed appreciation for the partnership, highlighting that the two institutions share numerous common values and long-standing proud traditions of education, training and scientific research.

He expressed hope that the newly signed MoU would serve as a legal foundation for long-term, sustainable collaboration between the two tertiary education institutions.

For his part, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Huong expressed his hope that the partnership between the two institutions will deepen and yield practical results in the coming time.

He also noted that the partnership would support the PPA to promote digital transformation and the application of AI in education and scientific research.
