People's Police Academy opens new academic year

The People's Police Academy (PPA) on October 10 held a solemn ceremony to open its new academic year 2019-2020. Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a speech at the event.

Reports delivered at the ceremony read that, following the motto “Activeness, innovation, disciplined, responsibility and efficiency”, the PPA made great efforts and successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks in the previous academic year. The academy has promoted scientific research and developed teaching materials, which contain in-depth theoretical and fact-based discussions related to the fight against crimes and the protection of social order and security.

Particularly, the PPA has successfully conducted 72 scientific research projects at all levels (including 02 excellent State-level projects, 20 ministerial-level projects and 02 provincial-level projects). The academy also expanded international cooperation with police training institutions of various countries around the world.

With its outstanding achievements, the PPA was awarded by the Government the Emulation Flag “Excellent unit in the “For Fatherland Security” movement" while 5 units of the academy were awarded the Emulation Flags by the Ministry of Public Security. In addition, numerous units and individuals of the PPA received honors from authorities of all levels. 

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc congratulated the PPA’s Party Committee, Directorate, generations of its education managers, lecturers, employees and police students on their excellent achievements in the previous academic year.

Deputy Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that the PPA should strengthen its Party and force building work to build a clean, comprehensively strong academy while promoting the movement "Good teaching, Good learning, Good training, Good service", improving the quality of scientific research, further investing in training facilities and equipment, applying information technology in teaching and learning in line with the “Smart Academy” project, and enhancing international cooperation with the advanced regional and global universities.
