People’s Police Academy opens new doctoral course

PSNews - The People's Police Academy held a ceremony on November 14th to open the 21st doctoral course and hand over doctorate degrees in 2016.

The People's Police Academy was the first public security school which was allowed to launch the first postgraduate course since 1992. So far, the Academy has had nearly 25 years of experience in developing and training high quality human resources for the Public Security Forces, military forces, internal affairs sector as well as public security forces of Laos and Cambodia.

The doctoral training programmes of the Academy were highly valued by leaders of the Public Security Ministry and the Education and Training Ministry.

Addressing the ceremony, Major General, Ass. Prof Do Ngoc Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics congratulated and praised the People's Police Academy for the outcomes of its postgraduate training over the past years.

He stressed that the Academy should first strive to improve the quality of its education and training, especially the doctoral training program in order to become a key national training institution. 

The Academy should also renew its curriculum, and teaching methods to promote the activeness and serious study of doctoral students, and encourage researching new matters. 

Major General Do Ngoc Can instructed the Academy to promote close connections between postgraduate training and scientific research with the aim of tackling pressing issues in practices of preventing crimes and ensuring security, social order in the current situation.

On this occasion, Major General Do Ngoc Can and representatives also attended a ceremony to inaugurate Uncle Ho's 6 teachings stele. This stele showed respect of newly entitled Doctors in 2016 to the People's Police Academy.
