The Ministry of Public Security organized a national online conference, on March 13, 2024, to step up the implementation of the project to enhance application of population, identification and electronic authentication data in national digital transformation in the period 2022- 2025 with a vision to 2030 (Project 06) and evaluate the results of digital transformation in the People's Public Security Forces.

Reports at the conference read that the Minister of Public Security signed Decision No. 2612/QD-BCA, on April 20, 2021, to approve the Digital Transformation Program in the People's Public Security Forces until 2025, with a vision to 2030 while on February 11, 2022, the Ministry of Public Security released Plan No. 56/KH-BCA-C06 on implementing Decision No. 06/QD-TTg issued on January 6, 2022 by the Prime Minister regarding digital transformation in the People's Public Security Forces.

After three years of implementing Decision No. 2612 and two years of implementing Plan 56, the People's Public Security Forces achieved many positive results in the implementation of Project 06 and digital transformation. 

Notably, the Ministry of Public Security advised the Government to submit two laws to the 15th National Assembly while drafting two degrees for the Government to promulgate, issuing five circulars on enhancing digital transformation in the Public Security Forces as well as 10 decisions on amendments, supplements and abolition of administrative procedures under the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Security.

During the discussion session led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc, delegates highlighted the achievements in implementing Project 06 and fruitful results of the implementation of digital transformation in the People's Public Security Forces over recent times, as well as pointed out limitations and proposed solutions to overcome the remaining issues and gear up the implementation of digital transformation in the Public Security Forces in the coming time.

The solutions include breaking bottlenecks in implementing Project 06 and digital transformation in the People's Public Security Forces, allocating regular budget resources for Project 06 and digital transformation, increasing inspection and check of security and safety systems for Project 06, building and systemizing telecommunications infrastructure, and providing in-depth training on cyber security for local police forces.
