People’s Security College I kicks off 2018-2019 academic year

PSNews – The People’s Security College I of the Ministry of Public Security on October 29 held a solemn ceremony to open its 2018-2019 academic year.

The event was attended by Major General Bui Minh Giam, Director of the Education and Training Department under the Ministry of Public Security; representatives of agencies and units under the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Thuan, Deputy Director of the People’s Security College I said that, in the previous academic year, the college well performed all tasks set by the Ministry of Public Security. Apart from its main mission of training cadets in long-term full-service courses, the school provided various short refresher courses for thousands of officers of local-level units.

According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Thuan, education and training activities of the school has seen a big positive change, especially in terms of course programs and teaching methods. The school has successfully applied the student-centered teaching method by creating more opportunities for learners to promote innovation, develop their abilities and skills, and acquire practical experiences and skills useful for their future careers.

For the great achievements, the school has been presented with awards by the Ministry of Public Security.

Addressing the event, Major General Bui Minh Giam, Director of the Education and Training Department, highly valued the efforts of the staff and students of the People’s Security College I in the past academic year.

He urged the school to continue to strictly follow the tasks set by the Ministry of Public Security in education and training activities in the new academic year.

The head of the Education and Training Department also suggested the People’s Security College I continue to implement Politburo’s resolution on renovating and streamlining the public security apparatus for more efficiency and effectiveness.
