Phu Tho Police excellently complete their tasks in 2017

PSNews – The security and order situation of Phu Tho province was well maintained in 2017, contributing to socio-economic development in the province; as a result the Phu Tho Provincial Police Department has been conferred on the “Emulation” Flag by the State and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) for the 24 consecutive years.

One of the outstanding achievements made by the provincial police in 2017 was to successfully halt local criminal gangs from operating on the underworld mode, causing worries and anxieties among the people. 

Particularly, the provincial police successfully prevented a case of disturbing public order on 10 March, 2017 in Residence 12, Ha Loc commune, Phu Tho town, involving 50 subjects with weapons. 32 of the participants in the case were then prosecuted.

The successful investigation into the case consolidated the trust and support of the people for the police force, and heightened police officers’ sense of spirit and responsibility in the fight against criminals while helping deter and prevent crime promoted deterrence and prevention of crimes.

Another feat of arms of the local police force was their successful investigation into a large drug-related case. In this case, the functional forces arrested 6 suspects and seized an amount of heroin equivalent to over 100 kg and 8.8 kg of crystalline drugs, a biggest amount of drugs having ever been detected and seized in Phu Tho.

The provincial police was honoured by the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, leaders of the MPS and provincial authorities for their successful investigation into the case.

The Phu Tho police force also managed to ensure absolute security and order during various important events of the country and province, particularly the Hung King Festival 2017. The efforts of the provincial police force were recognized by the leaders of the Party, State, people and local people.

Thanks to their outstanding achievements, a number of officers and soldiers of the provincial police of Phu Tho were honoured with various awards and titles in 2017, including a “Military Exploit” Order of second class by the State President; a “Feat of Arms” Order of first class and two “Feat of Arms” Orders of second class to name but a few.
