Planning, finance, logistics and technical work achieves good results in Q1

PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Van Tuyen chaired the quarterly meeting to review results of planning, finance, logistics and technical work in the People's Public Security Forces in the first quarters of 2023, on the afternoon of March 31, 2023, in Hanoi.

Over the first three months of 2023, the logistics - technical sector of the under-ministerial public security agencies have effectively implemented all aspects of work and basically completed the objectives set in the plan in the areas of planning, finance, logistics and technical work.

The sector has also completed unexpected tasks assigned by the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.

Notably, it has quickly allocated additional funds in 2022 and 2023 budgets to all public security agencies and units under the Ministry of Public Security while closely monitoring and reviewing the fund releasing process of agencies and units, and advising the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security to give measures to accelerate the disbursement of funds and public investment capital for projects, especially key projects directly invested by the Ministry of Public Security.

The sector has also allocated equipment and logistics to agencies and units, built houses, barracks and working offices for the commune-level police force nationwide, contributing to implementing Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo.

The sector has drafted the Land For Security Use Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 while providing sufficient supporting tools, vehicles, petrol and supplies to agencies and units, meeting their requirements for work, especially during the extensive campaign to fight crime and protect major events of the country in beginning of the 2023 lunar year.

The sector has also ensured the Public Security Forces’ communication and cipher systems, maintained transmission infrastructure, ensured the smooth and through operation of the large-scale computer networks as well as information security, facilitating the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security toward local-level police units. 

During the meeting, delegates also frankly pointed out the sector’s shortcomings and limitations, and learned various lessons from planning, finance, logistics and engineering operations in the first quarters.

They also proposed good solutions to improve the efficiency of the work.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen requested that all agencies and units should accelerate the implementation of projects and release of allocated funds.

According to the deputy minister, agencies and units assigned to implement projects should uphold their sense of responsibility, speed up the implementation of projects and disburse allocated capital sources for the projects as scheduled while regularly reporting the Ministry of Public Security on the overall progress of the projects until they complete.

The Deputy Minister also requested that the leaders of agencies and units as project managers should tighten discipline, strengthen the management of their staff, and increase political and ideological education for their staff.
