PM: All forces, and people must unite in preventing, holding back and finally eliminating drug-related crime

The Ministry of Public Security in coordination with Vietnam Television organized a TV program to launch the month of action against drug-related crime and praise police officers and people for their oustanding achievements in the fight against drug-related crime, on the evening of June 14, 2023, in Hanoi.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stresses that illicit drugs definitely be eliminated, and Vietnam be an illicit drug-free community in near future.

The program saw the presence of Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Speaking at the program, the Prime Minister (PM) hailed great effort of the functional forces and people in illicit drug-related crime prevention and control over the past time, and expressed his deep sympathy for the families of officers and soldiers who had laid down their lives or been injured on the front of the fight against illicit drug traffickers.

The PM also honored police officers and border guards who have to face lots of difficulties and danger in the fight against illicit drug dealers and other drug-related crimes.

In order to prevent and control illicit drugs in a more efficient and effective manner, PM Chinh requested Party committees at all levels, authorities at all levels, functional forces with the police as the core force and people from all walks of life to participate actively in the fight against illicit drugs and drug-related crime.
