Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung chaired the ceremony.

At the meeting, a leader of the Department of Organization and Personnel under MPS announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the Hue City Police Department as well as the rearrangement of district-level and communal-level police units and the organization of district-level investigation police agencies in Hue City.

Accordingly, the Hue City Police Department includes seven district-level police stations in accordance with its six districts of Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, Phong Dien, Phu Loc, Phu Vang, Quang Dien districts, and Huong Thuy town.

On behalf of the Minister of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung handed over the decision to appoint officers to the Board of Directors of the Hue City Police Department.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stressed that the establishment of the Hue City Police Department is a very important political event, marking a new big change in the police of Thua Thien Hue after Hue has officially become a centrally-run city.

The Deputy Minister believed that all police officers and enlistees of the Hue City Police Department would continue to uphold the heroic tradition of the Thua Thien Hue Police Force, to gradually build the local police as a strong and well-developed force capable of fulfilling all assigned tasks, contributing to building revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Public Security Forces to firmly protect national security and social order.

In addition, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the leadership of the Hue City Police Department quickly consolidate its organization and embark on their tasks of ensuring political security and social order in the city, especially during the Lunar New Year 2025, other cultural, social events in the city and the 14th National Party Congress.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Hue City Police Department, Director of the Hue City Police Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan affirmed that the police department will strive to build a strong, comprehensive, disciplined police unit that meets its new role and position, assuring that the local police are committed to successfully fulfilling all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, the MPS and the People, accompanying the nation to enter the new era of the nation's rise.
