After four years of implementing Directive 13 and more than three years of implementing Directive 28, the environmental police force nationwide achieved many remarkable results.

Particularly, the environmental police force executed working plans and professional measures to prevent and fight crimes and violations against food safety and wildlife protection regulations. They detected and handled 48,265 cases, including 474 cases prosecuted and fined over VND 240 billion in total.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that in the coming time, public security agencies and units should strictly implement the tasks and solutions articulated in the plans of the Ministry of Public Security.

The Deputy Minister also requested the Environmental Police Department to serve as a think-tank, advising the Ministry of Public Security's leaders on measures to improve the effectiveness of the fight against crimes and violations of food safety and wildlife protection.

The department should organize training courses on wildlife protection and food safety as well as guide the environmental police force to effectively fulfill their missions. The department should also pay due attention to praising teams and individuals with good achievements in wildlife protection and food safety.
