Police forces in response to tropical depression

PSNews - The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for climate change response, disaster prevention and rescue under the MPS sent Official Dispatch No.18 - on November 3rd afternoon to police units, requiring all public security forces to proactively respond to tropical depression

The dispatch was sent on November 3rd to the Steering Committees for climate change response, disaster prevention and recue (SCDR), the fire police departments of provinces from Binh Dinh to Kien Giang; the SCDR of the General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judical Assistance under the Public Security Ministry, the High Command of Mobile Police; the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Headquarters, the Traffic Police Department.

The Standing Office directs the steering committees, fire police forces and local police units of the provinces to implement the following contents:

The forces seriously implement Offical Dispatch No.35/ CD-TW dated 3-11-2016 of the Central Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention under the National Committee for Rescue and ask local authorities to effectively prepare for tropical depression,rain and flood situations.

The forces should keep an eye on tropical depression developments via mass media networks; collaborate with functional forces to give guidance for mooring boats; ensure order security and protect properties at anchor areas. 

The Southern Central and Southeastern provinces steer functional forces to ensure traffic safety; promptly control traffic congestion and support people in water-logged roads, dangerous areas; be ready to rescue when required.
