Police in Ho Chi Minh City take lead in building model of urban ward police station

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department to inspect the building of the model of "typical ward police post in terms of security, order and urban civilization" in 2023, on the morning of February 8.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung highly appreciated the local police’s effort in the work and asked the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department to early review and comprehensively evaluate the building of 249 ward police posts in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to an official report, 19 ward police posts have been selected to build the "model of ward police post in terms of order, security and urban civilization" in 2023. 

The Deputy Minister emphasized, the building of the "model of ward police post in terms of order, security and urban civilization" has proved to be the Ministry of Public Security’s right policy, as it plays an important role and creates the premise for building an orderly, disciplined, civilized and modern society.

“This is the responsibility of the Party committees, governments at all levels, branches, the entire political system and the entire people, in which the police force acts as the core and advisory force,” the Deputy Minister said.

In order to continue to effectively build the "ward police post model in terms of order, security and civilization" in 2023 and the following years, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung directed the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department to immediately draft a plan and advise the City Party Committee to issue a Resolution on the building while asking the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to approved the project.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung hoped that leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will continue to support, pay more attention, and create favorable conditions for the work in the locality.

* Before working at the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, on the morning of the same day, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and the Ministry's delegation directly conducted inspections at the Ward 4 Police Post in Tan Binh district and Ward 2 Police Post in District 3.

They are out of the 19 ward police posts selected to build the "ward police post model in terms of order, security and civilization” in 2023.

After the fact-finding tours, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and the Ministry's delegation had meetings with officers from the two police posts and listened to reports on difficulties of the two police units in completing the 22 criteria for the “ward police post model in terms of order, security and civilization".
