Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Duy Ngoc acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department and the Phu Quoc City Police Station over the past time.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc asked delegates to also discuss the local police’s shortcomings and their causes, and measures to overcome them in the time to come, contributing toensuring security and order in Phu Quoc city.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department and the Phu Quoc City Police Station to well perform their functions as an advisory body to the local authorities to deal with the root causes of crimes, especially in the field of land and construction management  as well as conflicts among people.

The local police force was also asked to identify criminals and the risks of crime, from which the force must take appropriate and effective measures to prevent and fight against crimes.

* On the morning of the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and the delegation took a field visit to inspect the work of ensuring security and order in Phu Quoc City.

On a visit to Phu Quoc International Airport, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested that the relevant police units implement drastically, seriously and effectively the assigned tasks, with a view to absolutely ensuring aviation security and safety, contributing to promoting economic and social development.

Besides, the public security units must work closely with aviation agencies to ensure aviation security and safety as well as promptly handle complicated cases.
