Police officers offer free porridge to poor patients in Binh Minh town

PSNews - The charitable program “A porridge bowl of love” that was first initiated by Senior Lieutenant Huynh Cong Nhan, Secretary of the Youth Union Chapter of the Binh Minh town police (Vinh Long province), has offered free porridge to thousands of people being treated at the local hospital since April.

Other Youth Union members of the Binh Minh town police and some kind donors have joined Senior Lieutenant Huynh Cong Nhan to carry out this program.

The program aims at supporting local patients, especially those living in a difficult state during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program “A porridge bowl of love” takes place at the Binh Minh Town Medical Center every Thursday morning. The cost of 100 bowls of porridge serving 100 poor patients on each Thursday morning, worth VND 1 to 1.5 million, is covered by the police officers and soldiers of Binh Minh town and kind donors.
