Political and social activities of MPS’s Women Union held in Nghe An

PSNews – The Women Union of the Ministry of Public Security held a series of political and social activities in Nghe An on March 14-16, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s six teachings to the Public Security forces and the 35th anniversary of establishment of its union.

Organizing these activities, the Women Union of the Ministry of Public Security also cooperated with other 5 Provincial Women Union Chapters of the force including Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue as well as the Women Union Chapter of the General Police Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance.

The mission visited and presented gifts to needy people, families of martyrs and wounded soldiers, expressing the respect and tribute to our previous generation. Besides, the charitable mission also in collaboration with the 19-8 hospital offered free medical check-up and medicines to them.

From March 15 to March 16, the mission held a camping festival at Nguyen Tat Thanh Park, Vinh city. This festival created opportunities for officers and soldiers of participating units to exchange experiences in both daily life and working mission. 

In addition, at this festival, the Women Union of the Ministry of Public Security presented 8 bicycles, 10 scholarships and 18 gifts to needy students with outstanding academic results of primary and secondary schools in Vinh.

Speaking at the camping festival, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, Deputy Head of the General Department of Politics recognized and applauded achievements of the Women Union of Ministry of Public Security over the past. He hoped that in the coming times, the Union will promote their past outcomes and hold many significant activities to encourage its members as well as support needy cases.

Earlier, they offered wreath and incense at the Memorial Hall of President Ho Chi Minh in Kim Lien relic site and the Memorial Hall of the late Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc Hoan, in Nam Dan district.
