PPA opens new course for senior police officers

PSNews-On August 28, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) opens a new course for deputy heads of specialized departments and deputy director of provincial-level  police departments in 2017.

The event was chaired by Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the PPA.

The event also saw the presence of Major General Do Ngoc Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (G.D 3); Major General Pham Van Cac, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police; and representatives of various units under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the PPA.

The annual short-term training course organized by the G.D 3 provides leaders of public security units with political, professional and legal knowledge to meet requirements of their tasks in the reality.

During the one-month course, trainees will study various specialized topics in politics, law as well as management skills with the support from lecturers of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and National Academy of Public Administration.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Do Ngoc Can asked the trainees to heighten their sense of responsibility and their role as leaders of units during the course, and follow the regulations of the People's Police Academy.

At the same time, he also hoped that the theoretical and practical knowledge they would acquire  during the training course will effectively support them to improve their abilities of management, leadership and settlement of practical issues in crime prevention and combat, ensuring social order and safety.
