Preparations for 50th founding anniversary of Department of Political Work discussed

PSNews – Lieutenant General Le Van De, Deputy Head of General Political Department (GPD) under the Ministry of Public Security, who is also the head of the Organising Committee (OC), chaired the meeting. 

The Organising Committee for celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of the Department of Political Work (DPW) convened on October 27th in Hanoi to discuss preparations for the event.

At the meeting, Major General Dao Gia Bao, Director of DPW, Permanent Deputy Head of OC generally reported the outcomes over the past 50 years of DPW, chaired a discussion about the Draft Agenda and gave concrete assignments to OC's members.

Addressing the meeting, Lieutenant General Le Van De stated, the celebration activities aim to populize the glorious tradition of DPW among officers and soldiers of GPD, contributing to raising awareness and importance of political and ideological work in building revolutionary, regular, elite and gradually modern Public Security Forces. In addition, such activities help officers and soldiers continuously heighten responsibilities for their tasks, actively broaden their knowledge, train skills, innovate at work and improve the quality and efficiency of comprehensive task accomplishment, meeting the requirements for tasks in the current context.

He also instructed to organize celebration activities in a practical, economical and effective manner in conjuntion with the "For national security" movement. All officers, soldiers should study and follow the President's thoughts, morals and working style; the self-study research movement and the implementation of Uncle Ho's 6 teaching to the Public Security Forces, contributing to building a strong and unified department.
