Professional exchange among press agencies of Public Security and Vietnam’s People Army held

PSNews – A meeting on journalism experience took place on March 1 afternoon, in Hanoi among the Public Security Newspaper, the Public Security Television (ANTV), the Vietnam’s People Army Newspaper and the Vietnam’s People Army Radio and Television Center.  

The meeting saw the participations of Major General Mai Van Ha, Deputy Head of the General Department of Politics, Director of ANTV; Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper; Major General Pham Van Huan, Editor in Chief of the Vietnam’s People Army Newspaper and Senior Colonel Nguyen Kim Ton, Vietnam’s People Army Radio and Television Center.

At the meeting, Major General Pham Van Mien briefed participants on achievements of the Public Security Newspaper over the past. Especially, the Public Security Newspaper officially opened the online Chinese edition to meet the requirements of its current dissemination tasks and better serve readers with Chinese command.

He also said that, press is considered one of core forces, effectively and actively supporting the Party, the State and the Government in information and education. “This mission is so honorable but challenging”, he stated.

Press agencies of the Public Security force and the Vietnam’s People Army should hold more  meetings and seminars to exchange journalism experience to enhance the quality of their information and dissemination, in line with the communication tasks of press agencies.

Delegates agreed with General Mien’s opinion, saying that large press agencies should promote professional exchanges and conduct joint activities in the time ahead, contributing to give true information to people in a timely and effective manner and strengthen the proper ideology among the people.

Additionally, Major General Mai Van Ha suggested enhancing information about the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s six teachings to the Public Security forces (March, 11, 1948-2018).
