Project 06 Working Group reviews results of Project 06 implementation in September

The Working Group on Implementing a Project to Apply Population, Identification and Electronic Authentication Data to National Digital Transformation in the period 2022-2025 with a vision toward 2030 launched by the Government (Project 06) held a regular meeting, on the afternoon of September 17th, 2024.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Head of the Project 06 Working Group, chaired the meeting.

According to reports delivered at the meeting, as the standing agency, the Ministry of Public Security closely coordinated with the Ministry of Heath, the Ministry of Justice and the Vietnam Social Security to integrate electronic health book into VNeID application and issue criminal record certificates via the application.

Particularly, as the standing agency worked with the Bach Mai Hospital to run a pilot project to verify  data of the hospital’s patients in the national population database for free.

In addition, in the month, 4.5 million credit customer records have been collected and verified their biometrical information integrated in their chip-based ID cards via devices at transaction counters of 47 credit institutions, while 22 credit institutions and 13 payment intermediaries  use the VNeID application to verify and authenticate customers’ information in transaction.

Regarding digital citizen development, since July 1st, 4.3 million of ID cards have been granted to 1.7 million children under 6 years old, 1.5 million children from 6 to 14 age group and 1.1 million over-14-year-old ones nationwide.

At the discussion session chaired by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long, delegates from ministries, branches and localities reported on the implementation of Project 06 in their units and localities as well as proposed approaches to effectively implement Project 06 in the coming time.

Concluding the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the large effort, strong determination and effective leadership of leaders of ministries, branches and localities in implementing Project 06 over the past time.

To effectively implement Project 06 in the coming time, Minister Luong Tam Quang requested that ministries, branches and localities should develop a roadmap with specific deadlines for the integration of administrative procedures into the National Public Service Portal.
