Provincial police departments review “For National Security” movement

The Provincial Police Department of Thua Thien – Hue organized a meeting on June 12 to review the “For Homeland Security” emulation movement in the 2015-2020 period and launch a new movement for 2020-2025 period.

For its achievements gained in the past 5 years, the Provincial Police Department of Thua Thien – Hue received the “Excellent Unit” Flag from the MPS. It was presented with the “Leading unit in emulation movements” flag four times by the Provincial People’s Committee. Meanwhile, its subordinate units and individuals were honored with thousands of titles and medals by the Prime Minister, the MPS and the Provincial People’s Committee. 

At the meeting on June 12, the Provincial Police Department honored 57 teams and 134 individuals for their outstanding examples in the “For Homeland Security” emulation movement in the period of 2015-2020; the Provincial People’s Committee presented Certificates of Merit to 5 teams and 7 individuals for their outstanding efforts and contributions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department has always grasped the situation, coordinate with relevant agencies and forces in ensuring security and order and taken various measures to fight crimes. 

The rate of successful investigation of the criminal cases reached over 90%, and all of the serious and extremely serious cases were solved. Traffic accidents were also curbed in numbers of cases, injuries and deaths for the 4 consecutive years. 

Under the authority of the State President, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Han presented the Fatherland Protection Medal of first class to the Provincial Police Department. Various teams and individuals of the provincial police were honored for their outstanding achievements in the “For Homeland Security” emulation movement.

*The Provincial Police Department of Cao Bang on June 11 also praised various outstanding examples in the “For Homeland Security” emulation movement in the period of 2015-2020.

According to reports at the event, the provincial police forces successfully investigated over 1,600 criminal cases with 2,497 persons involved; arrested 141 wanted criminals; detected 1,148 drug-related cases, arrested 1,720 involved persons and seized a large amount of drug of many kinds. 

Nearly 2,500 awards of various kinds were presented to teams and individuals by the State President, the Prime Minister, the MPS and the Provincial People’s Committee.

At the meeting on June 11, 8 teams and 68 officers and soldiers were honored for their outstanding achievements in the “For Homeland Security” emulation movement.
