The Public Security Central Party Committee held a meeting to review its leadership over the Public Security Forces in 2025 and provide opinions on matters under its authority on December 4, in Hanoi.

Party General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered keynote speeches.

The meeting also saw the presence of various senior leaders including Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Head of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Commission for Organisation Le Minh Hung, and Head of the Central Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization Trinh Van Quyet.

Delivering the opening remarks, Minister Luong Tam Quang hoped, delegates would thoroughly discuss and give opinions on the Public Security Central Party Committee’s draft summarization report on its leadership in 2025 and its key missions for 2026, as well as other key documents to be submitted to the 81st Nationwide Public Security Conference and the report on the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee’s leadership in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Delivering the opening remarks, Minister Luong Tam Quang hoped, delegates would thoroughly discuss and give opinions on the Public Security Central Party Committee’s draft summarization report on its leadership in 2025 and its key missions for 2026, as well as other key documents to be submitted to the 81st Nationwide Public Security Conference and the report on the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee’s leadership in the fourth quarter of 2025.

He affirmed that the matters under discussion are of great importance, as the discussion could provide basic suggestions and recommendations for the Public Security Central Party Committee to define key missions and solutions for 2026 and the following years, contributing to successfully implementing the Resolution of the 8th Congress of the Public Security Central Party Organization.

Addressing the meeting, General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and acclaimed the efforts, dedication, exemplary spirit and achievements of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security in 2025.

Regarding its key tasks for the coming period, General Secretary To Lam requested the Public Security Central Party Committee to lead the Public Security Forces to ensure absolute security and safety for major national events, particularly the 14th National Party Congress, the elections of the 16th National Assembly and the elections of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

He also requested that the Public Security Forces should contribute largely to realizing the Party’s three strategic objectives of peace and stability; sustainable, high-quality development; and improvement of all aspects of people’s lives.

In addition, the General Secretary urged the Public Security Central Party Committee to focus on Party building and the development of revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his confidence that, with the spirit of being “the most disciplined, the most loyal, the closest to the people,” the Public Security Forces will successfully accomplish the missions of 2026, living up to the trust of the Party, the State and the people.
