The Public Security Central Party Committee held a meeting to review its Party work in 2024 and set out work orientations and key tasks for 2025, on December 25th, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.

According to reports delivered at the meeting, in 2024, the Public Security Central Party Committee has led the Party committees of public security units and agencies at all levels to take the lead in concretizing and effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and policies as well as making careful preparations for congresses of the Party organizations of public security units and agencies at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress.

Discussing at the meeting, delegates proposed various approaches to build a truly clean and strong Public Security Central Party Organization, to mobilize the synergy of the entire political system and all people in ensuring security and order, and to participate actively in the preparation for congresses of the Party organizations at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress.

Concluding the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang underscored a number of work orientations and key tasks for 2025 of the Public Security Central Party Committee.

Firstly, the Public Security Central Party Committee continues to lead the Public Security Forces to take the exemplary and pioneering role in realizing the Party’s guidelines and policies, as well as strongly renovate all aspects of the Party work within the Public Security Forces, focusing on taking the lead in implementing the policy of reforming and reorganizing the political system to be streamlined, efficient and effective.

Secondly, the Public Security Central Party Committee continues to lead the Public Security Forces in proactively taking measures to ensure absolute security and safety for the Party congresses at all local levels in the buildup to the 14th National Party Congress.

Thirdly, the Public Security Central Party Committee should continue reviewing the remaining tasks and strive to reach all the targets and goals set in the Resolution of the 7th Public Security Party Congress, while making the best preparation for congresses of the lower-level Party organizations in the buildup to the 8th Public Security Party Congress.

Finally, the Public Security Central Party Committee should focus its leadership on the tasks of modernizing six police forces in 2025 and building the capacity of the communal level police so that the force is capable of addressing all security and order issues in the grassroots.
