Public security doctors honored on occasion of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony on in Hanoi to award the titles of “People's Doctor” and “Meritorious Doctor” to doctors working in the Public Security Forces on the occasion of the 66th Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27).

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent flowers of congratulations to the health sector of the Public Security Forces.

In 2020, three medical doctors working in the Public Security Forces were awarded the titles of ‘People's Doctor”, namely Major General Tong Manh Chinh, former Director of the Hospital 30-4, Major General Nguyen Khac Thuy, former Director of the Health Department under the MPS, and Senior Colonel Tu Duc Hien, former Deputy Director of the Hospital 30-4. 

Meanwhile, seven public security medical doctors were awarded the title of “Meritorious Doctor” and eight typical young doctors were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son acknowledged and praised the achievements and effort of the public security health sector over the past time. 

He expressed hope that the doctors honored at the event will further uphold their sense of responsibility, and make more efforts to fulfill their assigned tasks, deserving the trust of the Party, State, and the Public Security Forces.

According to the Deputy Minister, the complicated Covid-19 pandemic situation will impose more challenges for the public security health sector in the coming time. 

Therefore, he asked the public security medical units and hospitals to encourage their medical workers to bring into full play their professional competence and abilities to better protect the health of public security officers and the people.

* Earlier, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son visited and inspected the work of Covid-19 prevention and control at the Hospital 19-8 under the MPS. On the occasion of the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son offered flowers and extended best wishes to doctors, nurses and workers at the hospital.
