Public Security Forces asked to promote security and order

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on May 2 organized a monthly conference to review results of its work in April and roll out its central missions in May.

Senior Lieutenant General To lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security chaired the conference.

Major General Luong Tam Quang, Director of the Ministry of Public Security's Office, briefed participants of the conference on the results of the Ministry’s leadership and performances of the whole Public Security Forces in April.

Minister To Lam highly appreciated the efforts of the whole Public Security Forces in overcoming difficulties to excellently fulfill the given tasks.

Minister Lam urged all agencies and units under the Ministry to promote the achievements and continue to seriously implement the guidelines of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government, as well as orders and instructions of the MPS. He also asked relevant units to deploy forces and assets to ensure security and safety for the 7th Plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee as well as the 5th Session of the 14th National Assembly.

Meanwhile, involved police agencies and units were asked to speed up investigations into the cases identified by the Central Steering Committee on Corruption Prevention and Control while focusing on fighting organized crimes related to “black credit” and child abuse, as well as high-tech, economic, environmental crimes…

The Minister also asked the police force to coordinate closely with and support the health sector in ensuring security and order in medical establishments, and strictly deal with acts of violence, particularly fighting medical workers, in hospitals or other medical facilities, causing social annoyance while focusing on traffic order and safety, public order, fire and explosion prevention and fighting and rescue.

Furthermore, the Minister asked all public security agencies and units to step up the implementation of Resolution No. 22-NQ / TW of the Politburo on renovating and streamlining the public security apparatus for more efficiency and effectiveness; and enhance political education and management of public security officers and soldiers.
