Public Security Forces succeed in ensuring order and security during 2024 Tet

The Ministry of Public Security organized a conference to evaluate the security and order situation and results of task performance of the entire Public Security Forces during the 2024 Lunar New Year (Tet), as well as to roll out the work plan for the coming time, on the morning of February 15, in Hanoi.

The meeting was held online, connecting delegates from the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security and provincial-level police departments of the 63 cities and provinces.

Presenting the general report on results of task performance of the entire Public Security Forces, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security Major General Dang Hong Duc stated, following instructions of the Central Government on ensuring order and security during the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, the Ministry of Public Security requested all under-ministerial agencies and units to work out detailed work plans to grasp the situation and ensure order and security in their designated localities and fields.

Specially, local-level police units took synchronous measures and deploy suitable plans to ensure security and order at the grassroots, and closely coordinate with forces to detect and handle violations of laws.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam extended New Year regards to all officers, non-commissioned officers, enlistees and workers, working in the People's Public Security Forces, and their families.

The minister also wished that the People's Public Security Forces continue to promote the glorious tradition of "Public Security Forces are ready to sacrifice themselves for the country, wholeheartedly serve the people", and successfully fulfill all the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

Evaluating the task performance of the forces, Minister To Lam emphasized that the People's Public Security Forces had successfully achieved all the set objectives for ensuring order and security during the 2023 Lunar New Year (Tet), creating favorable conditions for people to celebrate a truly secure, safe, healthy, peaceful and happy Tet.

Regarding key tasks for the forces in the coming time, Minister To Lam requested all public security agencies and units to continue to seriously and effectively implement directions of the Party Central Committee, the Government and the Ministry, particularly on the Prime Minister's Directive on ensuring order and security after the Lunar New Year of the Dragon.

According to the minister, all public security agencies and units have to proactively grasp the situation in the fields and localities within their responsibility, restlessly make efforts and continuously renovate their working ways to reach all working objectives for 2024.
