The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Pham Thi Lan Anh, Director of the Health Department under the MPS; and representatives from different public security hospitals and clinics in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highlighted that the Public Security Central Party Committee and leadership of the MPS always attach importance to the professional coordination among public security hospitals and medical facilities.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the Health Department and first-class hospitals under the ministry to strengthen their instructions and coordination with lower-level public security medical centers. He also stressed the importance of technology transfer between upper-level hospitals and lower-level medical facilities in general, and between Hospital 199 and lower-level clinics of police units in the Central and Central Highlands regions in particular.
Functional units were assigned to effectively implement the project on overall development of the public security healthcare system by 2030 and promptly complete the draft project on improving the professional capacity of the public security health sector to submit to the Central Public Security Party Committee for approval while focusing on building and renovating facilities and investing in medical equipment for public security hospitals and infirmaries.
More attention should be paid to training medical staff. The health sector should be ready to establish more and raise the capability of COVID and post-COVID treatment centers. They should coordinate with relevant units under the Health Ministry to ensure vaccine supply for all public security officers, soldiers and staff and their relatives as recommended by the Ministry of Health.
