Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund

PSNews - Since he was a Deputy Public Security Minister, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has always paid much attention to activities of the Public Security Newspaper’s Charity Fund for Ethnic Minority Students.

In late 2006 under the guideline of Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, the Public Security Newspaper prepared for the establishment of "The Public Security Newspaper’s Charity Fund" for ethnic minority and needy students.

Several months later, "The Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund" was officially launched on March 3rd 2007. "The Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund" has been run by the Public Security Newspaper. At that time, Major General Nguyen Huu Uoc, Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper was the Chairman and Mr. Ksor Phuoc, a former Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council was the honorary chairman.

Since its inception, the "The Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund” for ethnic minority and needy students has well implemented the guideline of Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, attracting many donors to join hands in organizing hundreds of charity programme for ethnic minority and needy students across the country.

"The Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund" carries out more activities at the new academic year and at the end of each years. Thousands of ethnic minority and needy students have so far received assistance from the fund, and thousands of good bicycles; 4-year college scholarships for Cham students in district 8, Khmer students of in Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh city; hundreds of computers and notebooks for ethnic minority students in Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Southern Central provinces, the Central Highlands, Southwestern provinces. The total funding has reached nearly VND 12 billion.

Over the past years, "The Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund" has received a great donation from generous individuals, businesses and organizations and it highly appreciates the donors for their good deeds. Of the big donors, Duy Loi company has joined hands with the fund for nearly 10 consecutive years, the family of Mr. Vo Van Bay and especially, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh has contributed much to the fund.

Particularly, the Permanent Deputy Minister often spends his free time and weekends to hand gifts to ethnic minority and needy students. 

With its high-profile experience and good operation in charitable activities, "The Public Security Newspaper Charity Fund" has become a dependable support for needy and disadvantaged students nationwide and a trustee of generous individuals, businesses and organizations at home and abroad.
