Public Security Newspaper holds Party Congress for 2020-2025 term

PSNews - The Party Committee of PSNews promptly advised the Party Committee of DIC to direct the information service in the Public Security Forces and conduct social meaningful programmes, contributing to the general success of DIC in implementing political tasks assigned by the Public Security Central Party Committee.

The Party organization of the Public Security Newspaper under the Public Security Department of Information and Communications (DIC) held its first Party Congress for the term of 2020-2025 on July 31. Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of DIC attended and delivered a speech at the event.

At the Party Congress, Senior Colonel, Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper (PSNews) briefed participants on achievements of PSNews in the last term.

Following the policy on organizational restructuring of the Ministry of Public Security, the Party component organization of PSNews for the term 2018-2020 was established on November 19, 2018, under the Party organization of DIC. Under the direction of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Party organization of PSNews successfully fulfilled all given political tasks in the previous term.

In particular, PSNews promoted popularization of the Politburo's Resolution No. 35-NQ / TW on strengthening the protection of the Party’s ideological foundations, countering against the wrongful and hostile arguments in the new situation and the Politburo's Regulation 205-QD / TW on controlling power in personnel work and fighting corruption in posting cadres.

Under the leadership of its Party organization, PSNews focused on reflecting the public security forces' efforts in ensuring national security, maintaining social order as well as popularized in a timely manner about excellent examples in the emulation movements "For national security" and "All people protecting national security" during the last term.

Additionally, PSNews carried out a series of charitable activities in the term of 2018-2020. Particularly, PSNews mobilized sponsors to donate an amount of over VND 36 billion to support needy people, policy beneficiary families, martyrs' relatives.

Delivering a speech at the Party congress, Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha highly appreciated the achievements of the Party organization of PSNews in the previous term, contributing to the general outstanding achievements of DIC.

In the coming time, he instructed the Party organization of PSNews to actively draw up information plans, to continue renovation in all working fields and enhance the quality of its publications. Especially, the Party organization of PSNews should focus on the development of PSNews e-news.

General Ha also required all Party members of the Party organization of PSNews to stay united, have strong political and ideological stances and promote their sense of responsibility for work in the new situation.

At the congress, the delegates elected a Party Executive Committee of the Party organization of PSNews for the term of 2020 - 2025 and a delegation to attend the Party Congress of the DIC Party organization for the term of 2020 - 2025.
