The meeting also saw the participation of former Deputy Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee Tran Hung; Deputy Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department, Senior Colonel Luong Van Thiem and other representatives of the province’s authorities.

At the event, Senior Colonel Pham Khai informed Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh of the newspaper’s major working programs in recent times, saying that in the face of COVID-19, the newspaper has still been active in carrying out social activities, supporting needy people in remote and mountainous areas as well as victims of natural disasters nationwide.

The total amount of money that the newspaper has mobilized organizations, businesses and individuals for social and charitable programs in 2021 reached nearly 10 billion VND.

During the recent charity mission in Cao Bang province, the Public Security Newspaper’s delegation presented 200 packs of gifts and two tons of rice to needy locals.

Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People Committee Hoang Xuan Anh, for his part, praised and congratulated the positive results achieved by the Public Security Newspaper in 2021.

The Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People Committee revealed that most of the population in the province are ethnic minorities, and the total number of poor and near-poor households accounts for about 50% so the socio-economic situation in the province is still difficult. He thanked the Public Security Newspaper for its meaningful gifts to the local people.

The local leader also affirmed that, in recent years, Cao Bang province has received great attention and support from the People's Public Security Forces in all aspects, especially in ensuring security and order.

According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, during a working trip to Cao Bang province in 2021, Minister of Public Security Minister General To Lam launched a program to help local poor people build new houses.

With huge supports from the Minister of Public Security and the People's Public Security Forces, the province has built 900 new houses of compassion for poor local households.
