Public security officers graduating former Soviet Union or Russia training facilities meet with Russian Minister of the Interior

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam on September 19 organized a meeting between public security officers who had graduated from the former Soviet Union and Russian training institutions with General Kolokoltsev Vladimir Aleksandrovich, Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended the meeting and delivered an important remark. The meeting also saw the participation of the Russian Federation’s Ambassador to Vietnam Vnukov Konstantin Vasilievich.

On behalf of all public security officers who had studied at educational and training facilities of the Ministry of the Interior of the former Soviet Union or Russian Federation, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam welcomed Minister Kolokoltsev Vladimir Aleksandrovich and members of the Russian delegation to Vietnam, saying their visit contributes greatly to strengthening the traditional friendship and multi-facetted cooperation between the two countries, the two peoples and the two ministries.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam stated that, during nearly 70 years of relations, the former Soviet Union in the past or the Russian Federation at present has always been a very important traditional partner of Vietnam while the two peoples have always been united and supported each other in difficult times.

With their tradition "When drinking water, remembering the source", the Vietnamese people will never forget the great spiritual and material support from the people of the former Soviet Union and the current Russian Federation for the people of Vietnam in their struggle for national independence in the past and the current cause of national construction and defense.

According to Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam, few countries in the world like Vietnam have had several generations of leaders from the central level to local ones that have trained and studied in the former Soviet Union/Russia.

The Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation alone has trained thousands of officials for the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. Among these alumni, many have the become leaders of agencies and units of the Ministry Of Public Security. At this point, dozens of Vietnamese public security officers are still studying in Russia.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam said, cooperation on key and traditional areas of defense and security between the two countries has been continuously expanded and strengthened, reflecting the high trust between the two countries in line with the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security hoped of the all-sided relationship and cooperation between the two countries in general and between the Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and the Russian Federation’s Ministry of the Interior would be further developed.

General Kolokoltsev Vladimir Aleksandrovich, for his part, expressed delight that former Soviet Union/Russian alumni in Vietnam with their acquired knowledge, skills and experience have been achieved a lot of success at work, contributing significantly to the achievements of Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security.

Mr. Kolokoltsev Vladimir Aleksandrovich affirmed that, in his position, he will continue to contribute to promoting the Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between the Russian Ministry of the Interior and the Vietnam's Ministry of Public in particular.
