Public Security Political Academy kicks off new school year

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Dr., Assoc. Prof., attended and delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 2022-2023 school year of the Public Security Political Academy, on September 13, in Hanoi.

Minister of Public Security General To Lam, Dr., Prof., and Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Dr., Assoc. Prof., sent flowers of congratulations to the academy.  

The event also saw the presence of representatives of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, as well as representatives from the Central Organization Commission, the departments and functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, public security academies and schools, and other delegates.

Delivering a speech at the opening ceremony, Director of the Academy Lieutenant General Phan Xuan Tuy Dr., Assoc. Prof., briefed the delegates on outstanding achievements of the school in the previous school year.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised and congratulated the academy’s leaders, teachers and students on their good work results in the last school year.

Regarding major tasks for the school in the 2022-2023 school year, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested that it should be well aware of the current situation and challenges facing education and training in general and the academy's political tasks in particular.

In that context, it should always follow directions and policies of the Party, State, Public Security Central Party Committee, Ministry of Public Security on fundamental and comprehensive reforms of education and training while investment in education and training should be seen as an investment for the future development as it can develop high-quality human resources for the Public security Forces, contributing to realizing the goal of building clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces in accordance with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 12.

The Academy was asked to promote Party and force building work, enhance internal solidary as well as strengthen the fight against distorted information and wrongful views, contributing to protecting the ideological foundations of the Party and building the good image of the Public Security Forces.

It was required to strengthen coordination with agencies, units, training institutions inside and outside the Public Security Forces, as well as international partners.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To handed a Certificate of Merit to Director of the Academy Lieutenant General Phan Xuan Tuy, in recognition of his great achievements in the fight against COVID-19.
