Public Security press sector’s women support children of doctors working on frontline of fight against COVID

The Women’s Union of the Department for Information and Communication under the Ministry of Public Security on September 24 presented 256 gifts worth 100 million VND to the children of public security doctors and other medical staff, who are treating COVID-19 patients in the Southern region.

The Women’s Union of the Department for Information and Communication under the Ministry of Public Security on September 24 presented 256 gifts worth 100 million VND to the children of public security doctors and other medical staff, who are treating COVID-19 patients in the Southern region.

The gifts were donated by members of the Women’s Union of the Department for Information and Communication and businesses, including Lavina Food Factory of the Lam Son Sugar JSC, Aiwado Food JSC, Thai Nam Pharmaceutical Company Limited, Wings Vietnam Food Company.

During the program, the delegation, led by Senior Colonel Pham Thuy Quynh, Deputy Director of the Department for Information and Communication, presented gifts to children of doctors and nurses from Hospital 198 and the Hospital of Traditional Medicine under the Ministry of Public Security, who are treating COVID-19 patients in Ho Chi Minh city and other Southern provinces.

Due to the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh city and the other Southern provinces, hundreds of medical workers from public security hospitals based in the North have been sent to support the fight against COVID-19 there.

At their departure, all medical staff of the Public Security Forces promised that they would only return when the mission would be completed and the pandemic would be completely controlled.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Thuy Quynh hopes that the gifts and sympathy of the Women's Union of the Department for Information and Communication will encourage the public security medical staff and bring joy to their children.
