Public security press to meet development requirements in the new situation

PSNews - The Public Security Department of Information and Communications (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security on October 5 held a conference to deploy the project "Public security press development and management planning". Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of DIC chaired the conference.

At the conference, Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha affirmed that, the project "Public security press development and management planning" strictly followed the national press development and management planning until 2025 in the Decision No. 362-QD/TTg dated April 3, with the aim of arranging the press system and improving the efficiency of leadership and management in the field of press to develop the current system of press types.

As reported, the Public Security Newspaper is determined to be one of the six major multimedia media agencies of the national press system, along with Vietnam News Agency, the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam Television and the People's Army Newspaper.

The merging of five newspapers of public security municipal/ provincial departments becoming publications of the Public Security Newspaper should be completed by 2020 by DIC.

The planning is also expected to build a contingent of qualified and capable managers, reporters and editors to meet the press development requirements in the new situation.

Delegates at the conference also provided comments and proposed solutions to effectively implement the said work. In particular, the online version of the Public Security Newspaper will be developed as the leading online press with the right principles and objectives, becoming the newspaper of people.

The opinions of participating delegates will be summarized and submitted to the Standing Committee of the Public Security Central Party Committee.
