Public Security students set off southward to support local COVID-19 fight

The Hanoi-based People's Security Academy and People's Police Academy deployed 950 officers and students to the Southern provinces to support the local police in ensuring security and social order, and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Hanoi-based People's Security Academy held a ceremony on September 6 to deploy 300 officers and students to Dong Nai province to support the local police in ensuring security and social order, and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the People's Security Academy , Major General Le Van Thang hoped the reinforced officers and students will exert their effort to overcome all difficulties, stand united and complete their assigned tasks.

Students from the People's Security Academy will support the COVID-19 fight in Dong Nai province.

Before they set off to Dong Nai, all reinforced staff members and students of the PSA had been trained in knowledge and skills for pandemic prevention and control by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control Center and tested negative for SAR-CoV-2.

* On the same day, the People's Police Academy  held a farewell ceremony to see off 650 officers and students of the school who had volunteered for Southern provinces to support local efforts against the pandemic.

Of them, 500 will be deployed to Binh Duong and 150 to Long An province. They will join local police forces in ensuring security and social order as well as preventing and controlling COVID-19.

This is the second time the PPA has sent its students to support Southern provincial police to maintain public order and fight the pandemic.

Officers and students of the PPA depart for Binh Duong and Long An in order to support the two Southern provinces in fighting the pandemic.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the PPA, Major General Tran Minh Huong recognized and praised the voluntary spirit and the high sense of responsibility of the reinforced officers and students. He hoped that they will try their best to successfully complete their tasks at the frontline in the fight against the COVID-19.
