Public Security Taekwondo Team wins 2 golds at National Age Groups Taekwondo Championship

From August 15th to August 22nd, 2024, the Public Security Taekwondo Team attended the 2024 National Age Groups Taekwondo Championship taking place at the Tien Giang Provincial Gymnasium.

The tournament was co-held by the Sports Authority under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the CJ Corporation of the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the Vietnamese Taekwondo Federation.

This year, the tournament featured more than 1,300 athletes and coaches from 44 cities, provinces and branches nationwide.

The Public Security Taekwondo Team attending the competition consisted of 12 athletes and 5 coaches.

At the 2024 National Age Groups Taekwondo Championship, competitors will compete in four age groups for both men and women. Accordingly, the U12 age group had 22 categories, the 12-14 age group had 32 categories, the 15-17 age group had 33 categories, and the 18-20 age group had 31 categories.

After 7 days of competition, the Public Security Taekwondo Team won 2 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes.

After the competition, outstanding athletes will be selected for the national squad to compete in the World Taekwondo Junior Championship to take place in RoK this October.
