Public security units roll out working plans for 2020

Several public security agencies and provincial-level police departments on January 6 organized conferences to review their task performances in 2019 and roll their working plans for 2020.

At the conference, representatives of units under the department discussed challenges and proposed the solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare and environmental protection in the Public Security Forces.

They stressed the importance of compiling and issuing legal documents on healthcare for public security officers as well as suggested promoting professional training for health staff and environmental police officers. Some delegates also recommended that the public security health sector expand international cooperation to improve the quality of health care and medical services for public security officers and soldiers in the new situation.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Khac Thuy praised the achievements of the department in 2019. He also pointed out the sector’s shortcomings and limitations. He requested the whole sector to better fulfill its assigned tasks in 2020.

The event saw the presence of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Council, and Mr. Ta Van Long, Standing Vice Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee.

Over the past year, the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department has launched and conducted numerous intensive campaigns against crimes. It has also successfully solved complex security problems in the province, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the locality.

The Yen Bai Provincial Police Department has so far posted 141 professional police officers to 47 communes and townships.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra appreciated the achievements obtained by the provincial police forces in 2019. The Chairwoman urged the Yen Bai provincial police to attach importance to drawing up specific plans to ensure absolute safety for the Party congresses at all local levels and the 13thNational Party Congress as well as other important political events taking place in the province.

In 2019, the Thai Nguyen provincial police forces well ensured political security, social order and safety. Particularly, the rate of criminal cases was decreased by 3.6% while the rate of successfully investigated criminal cases reached 84%. The local police forces also gained numerous important results regarding Party and force building while the movement“All people protect national security” was effectively promoted.

At the meeting, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department rolled out its working plan for 2020 with several key tasks. These require the provincial police forces to proactively take measures to ensure political security, promote the fight against crimes and law violations, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the state management over public order and security, restructure the apparatus of the provincial police forces at provincial, district and communal levels for more operational efficiency and effectiveness.
