Public Security Youth Union reviews youth movements in 2020

The Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security (PSYU) held a meeting on January 18 to review its task performance and outcomes of youth movements in 2020 as well as roll out a working program for 2021.

The event saw the presence of Major General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Party and Political Work Department, and Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee (HCYU) and President of the Vietnam National Union of Students.

In 2020, the PSYU has well performed its tasks, including enhancing political and ideological education for young public security officers while conducting many youth support program for its needy members. It also paid due attention to building the Youth Union organization of the Public Security Forces in line with the regulations and directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the HCYU Secretariat.

Youths in the Public Security Forces have brought into full play their roles of volunteers and vanguards in fulfilling three major missions of safeguarding the congresses of Party organizations at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress, actively joining common efforts in Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, and effectively conducting natural disaster response and relief missions.

With their outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements in 2020, the PSYU was awarded the excellent emulation flag by the HCYU.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Permanent Secretary of the HCYU awarded "For the Young Generation" Medals to current and former leaders of several units under the Ministry of Public Security and typical Youth Union chapters under the PSYU.
