Quang Nam police successfully control human trafficking in rural areas -0
Police come to local people's homes to improve their knowledge of the laws.

Over the years, the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department have investigated dozens of cases of human trafficking in mountainous areas such as Dong Giang, Nam Giang, and Nam Tra My.

Most recently, the Quang Nam police coordinated with the local authorities to successfully rescue a group of Xo Dang ethnic youths residing in Nam Tra My district from being victims of human trafficking. Criminals often enticed them with well-paid jobs in Hanoi, and then sold them to China.

As a junction between other provinces and Nam Giang - Dac Ta Ooc international border gate, Nam Giang district has risks of social evils and crimes. Therefore, local police proactively grasp the situation and implement various professional measures to prevent and fight against all kinds of crimes, especially drug-related crimes and human trafficking.

Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Quoc Duc - Deputy Head of the Nam Giang District Police Station said: "Since we sent active-duty police to the commune, the security situation has been stable. The recently deployed policemen’s effort in maintaining local security and order as well as in raising local people’s awareness of observance of laws and prevention of human trafficking".

Thanks to communal police officers, people in mountainous areas of Quang Nam province know how to protect themselves from being victims of human trafficking. The local people in rural areas have again enjoyed a peaceful life.
